Dear Mr.Nickell:
As a freshman at Las Animas High School only being in high school for about three months I have noticed some places in the school that need to be changed. Although, im
only going to mention one. I think we should have air conditioning in the gymnasium because more people will come to the games and actually stay for the boy’s basketball games and not just leave when the girls are finished. Also people will be a lot more relaxed. And more players would be able to play better if it’s cool in the gym. The gym would even have a better smell and wouldn’t be as humid as it usually is. And in the summer kids can’t practice because it’s so hot in the gym so therefore we could have more summer practices. If we had air conditioning we could actually shut the gym doors during gym class so it won’t disrupt the other classes, and it wouldn’t be much of a problem because it would be nice in the gym.
Some of the bad things about getting air conditioning are that it would cost a lot of money and cold air can injure kids because their body needs to be warm so that they are loose and ready to play whatever sport it is. Also when would this happen we don’t know when it would happen or if it even will. And last some people would maybe disagree with getting air in the gym because they may want it somewhere else. The Birds=)
The Birds
Here is a movie you will never forget. A typical blonde acts in a horror film, “The Birds”. In this film Alfred Hitchcock has an adventure of being able to show the birds graphically as they evilly sit there and wait to attack and kill any human they choose. However the birds sit outside and gather, waiting to attack the people. Without the people knowing.
It all began when Mitch Brenner (Rod Taylor) is very interested in Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hendrer) and they get to know each other a little better and she is begins to be very interested in him as well because of his attitude and how much of a gentleman he is. And she even went through all the work of finding him love birds and taking them to him when it’s a two hour drive from her house to his. Bodega Bay is what the town is called a very small cozy town. After secretly delivering the birds it became a love scene that failed because of the seagull that flew into Melanie’s head and made her bleed. But Mitch’s mom comes and almost ruins the relationship but fails because Mitch keeps asking Melanie to stay and finally asks her to go to his sister Cathy’s birthday party. Also that failed all the kids were outside running around playing games and all the birds swooped down and started pecking at all the children and one of the birds drug a girl away until one of the grownups had to protect her. At this time the kids had no idea of what was going on until they got into the house.
The director had great pictures as for it being an older movie with special effects. Although if it was in a award winning category with one of today’s movies. One of today’s movies would make ‘The Birds” look horrible. Every time I see one of the birds it makes me get the Goosebumps even hearing them chirp. At one point in this movie all of the family and Melanie are sitting in the house waiting for something to happen. The loud sound of a bird that hit the door. I’m sure your stomach twisted there as when you didn’t know that was coming!
I would give this movie a two and a half star rating out of a five star because there were some good and bad parts in the movie. Although I much rather you watch the movie than to read the book because the book you can’t get into as much as the movie maybe because you can see the birds and hear all the noises they make and actually see the characters. But that’s just my opinion on this. It also depends on what type of movies you prefer if you like drama love and horror this is the movie for you but if you like something else such as blood and guts then this is most definitely not the movie for you .

Cause and Effect
Rainsford became more scared and scared hearing the leaves crack. General zaroff became closer and closer to him.General zaroff stopped right before stumbling over rainsford and lights a cigerett and then slowly turns around and walks away.Almost as he knew someone was around.
Many cause and effect relationships such as. Zaroff hunted rainsford because rainsford didnt want to hunt.Rainsford refused to hunt because Zaroff was going to hunt humans. Rainsford thought that was in humane and refused to hunt.The only reason he wanted to hunt humans was because it was harderand more challenging.And the reason he hunted him was because he didnt want to hunt.
Rainsford and general zaroff both had different opinions about hunting humans.Zaroff became bored hunting animals so he started to hunt humans."If i wish to hunt why not? I hunt the scum of the earth sailors from tramp ships-lasers-blocks-chinese-whites-mongols-a thught bred horse or bound is worth more of a score of them"(27)Rainsford knew he was trapped so he hunted zaroff. Rainsford knew that zaroff wasnt going to stop hunting him any time soon.So he turns around and comes backto hunt zaroff by himself.Rainsford decides to hunt Zaroff "I am still a beast at bay"he said in a low hoarse voice"Get ready general Zaroff"(36)rainsford kew there was no way of gettig out of this so he went in Zaroffs room and fought him so he had a way to get off the island.
In the story "The most dangerous game cause and effect is a big deal and causes alot of suspence!Zaroff becomes bored with hunting animals so starts to hunt humans. He hunted Rainsford only because he didnt want to hunt humans with him so he turned his back on him.This story great it created alot of suspence because of all the cause and effect relationships.

Hunter or hunted!!
I would much rather be hunted than the hunter! The reason behind that is because the hunter has to do all the chasing and has to find the thing or person he is hunting. The person or thing getting hunted would be fun because you get to run and hide from the hunter and don’t really have to be on a mission. It’s like a big game of hide and seek but much bigger and when you get caught and die! And in the story it says the man being hunter.“He struggled up to the surface and tried to cry out, but the wash from speeding yacht slapped him in the face and the salt water in his open mouth made him gag and strangle.” In my opinion i dont think the hunter is very smart because he got injured alot and he couldnt help! Thats why i would rather be hunted or the hunter.
